Lisa Vanderpump is brimming with excitement about the new cast of Vanderpump Rules , predicting a season brimming with drama. Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly at the launch of Jason Felts' Hollywood Virgin book on February 5th, Vanderpump, 64, shared her insights.
'When you have a restaurant, especially in Hollywood, with a revolving door of beautiful people who are all kind of normally rather large personalities because they come to Hollywood for a reason, it's always complicated,' she remarked. 'I am sure it's gonna be very different with these young little minxes when they get to work, but we shall see.'Bravo announced in November 2024 that season 12 of Vanderpump Rules will feature a fresh group of 'close-knit SUR-vers who are as complicatedly involved with one another as their iconic predecessors.' The show, which debuted in 2013, started as a spinoff of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and evolved into its own successful franchise. Cameras captured the dynamics between Vanderpump and various staff members at her SUR restaurant, including Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor, and Stassi Schroeder, as they navigated the complexities of professional and personal relationships.Vanderpump expressed confidence that the new cast will deliver just as much drama and entertainment. 'I've got to shoot it first, of course,' she shared from The Abbey in West Hollywood, California. 'I got some very interesting characters for sure, but SUR has been around a long time, and as I say, it’s a show we could have shot 12 months of the year.' Currently, Vanderpump is dedicating her time to her numerous business ventures while also assisting neighbors affected by the recent Los Angeles wildfires. At the Hollywood Virgin book launch, which benefited the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, Vanderpump revealed how Vanderpump Dogs is providing support to animals in need. 'We've been offering free grooming for the dogs who have been affected by the fire,' she shared. 'We’re also trying to free the shelters up and take as many dogs as we can so they can rescue more. That's so close to our heart.' While she remains committed to her philanthropic endeavors, Vanderpump has no plans to return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Despite Garcelle Beauvais' hopes that her friend would rejoin the show, Vanderpump stated her disinterest. 'I love Garcelle. I actually think she's probably one of the only ones I would have anything in common with,' Vanderpump explained. 'I think she's a really hard working, down-to-earth woman and I have a lot of respect for her. The nonsense on the show? Not so much.'
