Lisa Marie Presley's posthumous memoir was released earlier this week.
Presley said that when she first became romantically involved with the then-35-year-old singer in 1994, he told her he was still a virgin,The news was a bit of a shock for Presley, who was in the process of getting divorced from then-husband Danny Keough, the father of her daughter, actor Riley Keough, who co-wrote the memoir.
Jackson ― who was 10 years older than Presley ― first met her when they were much younger, before reconnecting in the early 1990s. Although she was still married to Keough, the couple split amicably after Jackson confessed his love during a trip to Las Vegas.“Michael said, ‘I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m completely in love with you. I want us to get married and for you to have my children,’” Presley said. “I didn’t say anything immediately, but then I said, ‘I’m really flattered, I can’t even talk.’ By then, I felt I was in love with him too.
“To some degree, he was a master at manipulating a little bit with the media. I understand that nobody really knew who I was. They just assumed I was going along with something he would be doing.”
