Wandisile Simelane is poised to join the Vodacom Bulls, with the Lions centre having considered his “options on the table”.

The 24-year-old is reportedly set to be announced as the Bulls’ latest signing soon, after Jake White on Friday confirmed Sbu Nkosi will be joining from the Sharks. His attacking skills will be a welcome addition to the Bulls backline corps, alongside Lionel Mapoe, Cornal Hendricks and Stedman Gans. Simelane was linked with a big-money move to Toulon earlier this year, with his agent, Dane Galley, confirming at the time of several “options on the table”.

The departure of the former SA U20 star will be a big blow for the Lions, who have already lost skipper and No 12 Burger Odendaal to English Premiership side Wasps for the 2022-23 season.
