Kota Kinabalu: The man behind the wheels of a container lorry which caused the death of a woman on the Lido flyover along Jalan Lintas on Tuesday has been remanded for five days.
Kota Kinabalu District Police Chief ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said the 52-year-old was detained on Wednesday and will remain in custody until August 27 for investigations."The lorry will be sent to the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre for inspection," he said. The victim, 26-year-old Nicolette Hannah George, was sending her friend back to a hotel in Inanam on a Perodua Bezza when the lorry from Sibu, Sarawak, rammed into five other vehicles resulting in her death.
