is returning to Hulu for Season 2 on Friday, so we'll finally get to see what happens after Season 1's bonkers cliffhanger.But one thing we won't be able to see is a certain guest star who backed out last minute.
, the show's star and creator, Ramy Youssef, said Lindsey Lohan was actually supposed to be in Season 2 but ghosted him."We were interested in this idea of people that you don't really think are Muslim," said Ramy."We actually cast Lindsay Lohan because Lindsay had this whole thing about converting to Islam. We had cast Lindsay and I talked to her and she was down, and then, you know, like Lindsay does, we just kind of stopped hearing from her.""I was trying to get ahold of her and she was on the call sheet, and I guess she couldn't make it. I don't know, I never heard from her." Since 2016, Lindsay has expressed interest in converting to Islam. She also said she felt"so unsafe" in America after the paparazzi photographs went viral."People were horrible to me just because this is my belief," she said.
