Homeware and seasonal gifts, much like its predecessor
The blow of Paperchase's closure on Lincoln High Street has been softened by its replacement - a new homeware and gift shop called Mooch.
Mooch appeared on the pedestrianised High Street this week after the site was left vacant for a few months, following the closure of Paperchase in February. The shop specialises in gifts, stationery and homeware items, along with toys and seasonal treats - and is very similar in stock and layout to its predecessor.
Mooch replaces the former Paperchase store, which closed down after the company fell into administration and was acquired by supermarket retailer Tesco - though the deal was just for the brand and intellectual property, rather than the physical stores. This is not the first closed Paperchase site to be replaced by Mooch in recent times, with stores in Plymouth and at Sheffield's Meadowhall Shopping Centre also witnessing the same replacement.
