Lilo & Stitch star Billy Magnussen discussed Disney's upcoming live-action film adaptation of the beloved animated movie.
Magnussen also expressed how grateful he is to be part of such a wholesome project. At the moment, Disney has yet to announce the release date for its latest live-action remake.
“I don’t think you can compare pieces of art to each other,” Magnussen said. “I adored working with everyone in this. Rideback was the producing house making this film, and I did Aladdin with them. Again, it’s a story about connection, and a kid trying to find a friend, and all you can do is approach a project like that with love. I am so grateful and honored to be a part of that project.
The original movie featured the voices of Daveigh Chase, Sanders, Carrere, David Ogden Stiers, Kevin McDonald, Rhames, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Lee. It was both a box office and critical success, with a worldwide gross of over $270 million.
