‘Lilo & Stitch’ Live-Action Remake Reveals First Footage of Stitch in Teaser Trailer

Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen and Hannah Waddingham are among the stars for Dean Fleischer Camp's new film that hits theaters next year.

Director Dean Fleischer Camp’s new version of the 2002 animated feature is set to hit theaters May 23, 2025. The leads include Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Elizebeth Agudong as Nani and Kaipot Dudoit as David Kawena. Rounding out the cast aretrailer shows the titular blue alien causing a bit of chaos at the beach. The first film focused on a Hawaii-based girl named Lilo who adopts a dog that turns out to be a genetically engineered extraterrestrial being with a nefarious purpose.

Camp helmed the new movie from a script by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright, which is based on the 2002 film that was co-directed by Sanders and Dean DeBlois.
