Lilo & Stitch's Runtime Reportedly Revealed & It's 25% Longer Than The Animated Original

The runtime for the upcoming live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch seems to have been revealed, and it's longer than the original. The original animated film from Disney, which came out in 2002, followed the unlikely and charming friendship between a lonely girl and an experiment from space that crash-landed in Hawaii.

The live-action adaptation will be directed by Dean Fleischer Camp and star Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Chris Sanders returning to voice Stitch, Sydney Agudong as Nani, Kaipo Dudoit as David, Zach Galifianakis as Jumba, and Billy Magnussen as Pleakley. Now, according to its official listing on AMC Theatres' website, the live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch has a runtime of 1 hour and 48 minutes. This puts the Disney remake as being 25% longer than the original animated feature's runtime, which clocked in at 85 minutes long. It should be noted, however, that AMC is the only theater chain with a current listing of the movie's runtime. This current runtime suggests that the remake will have either extended or more scenes than the original.
