) - Lillian Fie Rescue’s chief posted on its’ Facebook page Saturday night about a fire he called “probably one of the largest fires in the history of Lillian.”I want to take a minute to personally thank the fire departments that responded to what is probably one of the largest fires in the history of Lillian.
Lillian Fire, Perdido Beach, Elberta, Josephine, Foley, Summerdale,Bon Secure, two companies from Escambia County, Med Star and the Alabama Forestry Departmen. Mutual aid is a given and we rely on their response but today’s fire required additional departments and a lot of resources. The professionalism and support from our neighboring department was absolutely incredible. Several structures, 4 freestanding garages, conex boxes, multiple vehicles, 2 boats and close to 40 acres of woods and brush were destroyed. 4 residential homes and additional garages wereyou to all who responded helping us to control this fire.I am proud to work with all of you…..respect!!Tuberville discusses Mobile River Bridge project with contractor
