PG&E restored power to more than 5,000 customers in a swath of San Francisco's Nob Hill and Russian Hill neighborhoods on Wednesday afternoon after the lights went out for a few hours. Many restaurants in Polk Gulch closed amid the outage.
The outage started at 12:17 p.m. with 5,708 customers in the dark, Tamar Sarkissian, a PG&E spokesperson, told SFGATE on the phone.Sarkissian said at 2 p.m., there were still 2,142 customers affected.
