Emergency services are on scene with several road closures in place.
A "glider" was forced to make a sudden landing on the A419 Stroud Road near Aston Down airfield in Frampton Mansell, Gloucestershire, at about 16:45 BST, reports suggest."It is understood that no other vehicles were involved," said a police spokesperson.
The A419 is closed in both directions between Cowcombe Hill and Emmerson Lane as recovery work continues. Cotswold Gliding Club said it was aware of the incident and the Air Accident Investigation Branch was now "involved"."My stepdaughter who's a nurse stayed at the scene to help out.An AAIB spokesperson said it had been notified of the "light aircraft accident" and would be commencing an investigation.Dog owners in Bishops Cleeve have been told to be vigilant for signs of excessive panting, high temperature and vomiting.
