On Monday, passengers on board two flights were surprised with an intimate special guest performance at 36 000 feet in the air by Zolani Mahola as part of South African airline LIFT’s effort to support local artists.
Passengers on board the 1pm flight departing from Cape Town International Airport to Johannesburg and those on the 4pm flight from OR Tambo International Airport to Cape Town were treated to a surprise Silent Disco performance in the sky.

Find car listingsLIFT has hosted inflight performances for travellers since its launch, featuring numerous performances such as by Cape Town Opera and Divine Mahara, as well as a comedy skit by Schalk Bezuidenhout.
‘We’re on a mission to uplift South Africa, especially within the artistic community; the support of both local businesses and talent is important to us. By creating platforms for local talent to shine, we hope to bring a little upliftment to South Africans at the same time,’ says LIFT CEO Jonathan Ayache.
