It's 'peaceful' with a nature reserve nearby
People living in one of Nottingham's smallest suburbs have praised the area for its quiet nature. Residents in Snape Wood, a council estate near Bulwell town centre, were complementary about the area and its people.
"The people are different here, people are much nicer here, I can leave things outside in a communal area and they won't get taken. I believe people are more calm here, more responsible. I'd like to live here all the time."Snape Wood, situated just over four miles outside Nottingham city centre, had a population of nearly 3,000, according to its latest census in 2001.
The 68 and 69 Nottingham City Transport bus services connect the suburb to Nottingham city centre. Residents of the suburb, Kevin and Anne Scott, a couple in their early 70s, added: "We find it alright, we've been here for 30 years. It's nice where we are, although it can be daunting in some places."
