The Hoops have been in talks with the Israel international to extend his current deal that expires in 2026. He's become a key player since his arrival and looks likely to stay for many years to come.
Celtic have been handed a major boost with Liel Abada set to pledge his long-term future to the club.
The 21-year-old has played 107 times since making the switch to Glasgow in summer 2021, scoring 29 goals. His contract still has another three years to run however the Parkhead hierarchy are eager to tie him and team-mate Reo Hatate down on extended contracts. Talks have been ongoing over the past week and now the Daily Record claim Abada will be the first to sign the dotted line. It will be a major boost for boss Brendan Rodgers as he attempts to keep a hold of his prized talent.
Abada has been reassured that he will be a more pivotal figure under Rodgers having featured in all four competitive games this season. The Israeli international is highly-rated but was never given an extended run in the starting XI under Rodgers' predecessor Ange Postecoglou.
