PARIS: Kem para badminton negara semakin hampir mencipta sejarah selepas Cheah Liek Hou dan Muhammad Fareez Anuar berjaya melangkah ke separuh
akhir kategori perseorangan lelaki SU5 di Sukan Paralimpik Paris 2024.
Liek Hou, pemenang pingat emas Tokyo 2020, mempamerkan aksi cemerlang menewaskan Suryo Nugroho dari Indonesia 21-10, 21-13, sekaligus mendahului Kumpulan A dan mengelak pertembungan separuh akhir menentang rakan sepasukan, Muhammad Fareez yang mengungguli Kumpulan B. Muhammad Fareez pula akan bertemu Suryo Nugroho selepas pemain No.5 dunia itu menduduki tempat kedua dalam Kumpulan A.
“Saya juga gembira melihat Fareez mara ke separuh akhir dan kita akan berusaha untuk mencapai final bersama,” kata Liek Hou
