Michael Sajid, 38, was sent a package after a woman of 84 was duped into posting it.

Sajid was found guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court of taking part with others in possessing criminal property – a gold bar weighing more than 2lb – in 2020.

She sent six packages between those dates via Royal Mail special delivery to a Glasgow City Council flat where Sajid lived. He claimed she had made a fraudulent purchase on Amazon and persuaded her to move all her investments into another account.Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
