Local companies are ramping up relief efforts of their own as Hurricane Idalia bears down on Florida.

"We’ve done everything from airports and hospitals, and communications facilities, and federal buildings, courthouses to hotels, apartment buildings," said Dan Boot, Vice President of Operations at Garrett McKenzie.
At Garrett McKenzie, the team has experience responding to disasters, including hurricanes in the past., prepared a large shipment of supplies for those impacted by the hurricane, including diapers, flood buckets and coolers.
