The Liberty softball team is one win from a third consecutive University Interscholastic League Class 4A state championship.
Liberty improved to 37-8 on the strength of 14 hits, three by catcher Hollie Thomas, who drove in five runs. Thomas gave Liberty a 3-0 lead in the third, homering to left field to drive in Bryana Pantalion and Bailee Slack. Kylee Bishop added a two-run double, plating Alex Wiley and Abby Vickers, who was 3 for 3 with a walk.
