DHL Stormers flyhalf Manie Libbok has been voted the Fans’ Player of the Season for the 2022-23 Vodacom URC.
The 25-year-old playmaker finished the regular URC campaign as the leading scorer with 167 points from 16 appearances.
He added a further 18 to that tally with a 100% success rate from the tee with three conversions and four penalties as the defending champions advanced to the semi-finals by beating the Vodacom Bulls 33-21 in Cape Town.As the Capetonians secured a back-to-back home URC final, the three-Test-cap Springbok added an additional 23 points with two tries, five conversions and one penalty in their last-four clash against Connacht last week.
Libbok was named the Man of the Match after helping the Stormers move a step closer to retaining their title in front of 47,261 supporters at Cape Town Stadium. The Coach of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season will be revealed in the build up to the final between the Stormers and Munster on Saturday, 27 May.
