Former One Direction member Liam Payne dead at 31
The UK-born pop star was staying at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, when he fell from the third floor, state police announced., writing, “So upsetting to hear the news of @LiamPayne passing. Sending love and condolences to his family & loved ones. RIP my friend.” after falling from balcony, suffering 'severe injuries'
Rapper Ty Dolla $ign re-shared a video of Payne to his Instagram Story, writing, “Just talked to you 2 days ago my guy. Ima miss u frfr .”“R.I.P. Liam Payne wow I can’t believe it prayers up for the family,” rapper Juicy J wrote on X.Several witnesses told TMZ they saw the singer fall after he was behaving erratically around 5 p.m. local time.
Payne rose to fame alongside his One Direction bandmates, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, in 2010.He stayed in contact with the boy group since they split in 2015, and most recently attended Horan’s concert at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires earlier this month.
