It comes as Oasis faced backlash over ticket prices for the 2025 reunion tour
Liam Gallagher has spoken out following the controversy over ticket prices for the Oasis reunion tour. The Manchester-born musician confirmed last week that he and brother Noel would be reforming the 90s Britpop outfit as part of a newly announced 2025 world tour.
In a statement on Wednesday , Oasis also said it had 'no awareness' that 'dynamic pricing' would be used. Now, Liam has addressed fans on X, formerly Twitter, telling some to 'shut up' after they called out the cost of tickets to see the brothers next summer. Taking things a step further when another asked Liam if he has spare tickets, he added: "S*** loads but there really expensive 100 thousand pounds Kneeling only."
This week, the Advertising Standards Authority confirmed it received 450 complaints about adverts which allegedly made 'misleading claims about availability and pricing', with some fans finding standard tickets had more than doubled from £148 to £355 on Ticketmaster as a result of dynamic pricing.
