Levi Ives was stretchered off after a coming together with Chris Curran during Saturday's Irish Cup semi-final
They shared a changing room for the best part of a decade and the bond remains as strong now even though they're at different clubs.
The Larne defender was stretchered off following a coming together with Curran in the 74th minute. Ives immediately signalled that his night was over, with Larne boss Tiernan Lynch later admitting the 26-year-old could have suffered an ACL injury in the innocuous challenge. The Reds midfielder added: "Also thought the applause he received leaving the pitch from our supporters was brilliant and fitting for a player who gave so much for our club for so many years."He showed his appreciation for Curran's social media post, and said he hopes his former club go on to beat Linfield in the final on May 4.
