This is the second one we have received.Is this a scam?Well, we won't call this letter a scam, but it's easy to call it a waste of money. The shut-off valve is on your property - usually near your front sidewalk.

Our research involving several local municipalities shows those private water lines fail less than 0.1% of the time.A few years ago, the Lancaster Bureau of Water told News 8 that only 10 property owners in their entire system of 140,000 customers had to pay to replace water lines – and that was over five years.These policies cost no more than five dollars per month, but if you examine the terms and conditions of these protection programs, the list of items that are not covered is extensive.
