Letters to the Editor
A reader wants to extend a cheer to frequent writer Gaylard French of Waxahachie , who died recently.I am sad to report that one of the longtime contributors to recently passed away. My childhood friend from the 1950s and 1960s, Gaylard French of Waxahachie died after a lengthy and terrible illness. By his own admission, Gaylard was passionate concerning politics.
Gaylard loved his wife and children and was a longtime respected and admired educator who taught history to thousands of students at both the high school and junior college levels. He was also active in the theater arts. I always looked forward to reading his next letter on these pages and will miss that. Whether you agreed or disagreed with his political views, you should miss those letters as well.On Friday, Dec.
After eating, playing games or participating in a holiday craft, we all boarded our bus for the trip home, each with a beautiful poinsettia in hand, our photos with Santa, and a brightly decorated holiday bag of useful items to use at home. The accolades of appreciation to the thoughtful students lasted all the way home. What a wonderful way to start the season! Thank you from CC Young residents.A hearty shoutout to the crossing guards who keep kids safe outside schools.
