Readers comment on the column about MLK; don’t agree with editorial on informing parents about gender issues in the Keller ISD; don’t think police should be at peaceful protests; praise principals; and would like some changes in the comics.Re: “’I’m ready to tell the story’ — While marching with MLK, Dallas civil rights icon saw some of the worst from humanity, but he’s also seen some of the best,” by Peter Johnson, Sunday Opinion.
I am by no means saying this is every parent, but those who are homophobic and transphobic to the point of abuse cannot be allowed to know. This forcing of students to remain in the closet only puts them at further risk for mental health issues and suicide.
