On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we call for no celebration without legislation on voting rights and we need everyone to stand with us. My 2021 electronic return was also rejected, so a paper one was sent for a third time. Last month I got two letters. One said I overpaid my 2020 taxes. The second said I owed money and penalties for my 2021 return. I had to call to correct the error. Until I read this American Middle column, I did not realize there was a bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus in the House of Representatives. They are certainly low profile.
In the new House environment, the members of the Problem Solvers Caucus have their work cut out for them. Bow WOW! I read with astonishment that not only does the city of Frisco not have an animal shelter but spends about $311,861 verified annually to outsource its wandering non-pedigree mutts to the Collin County Animal Shelter, 22.7 miles away.
