A self-governing people does not use trickery and violence, and it does not “rule” us. We rule.Re: “Where Were the Voters? With turnout distressingly low, a handful of people are deciding North Texas’ future,” Tuesday editorial.

When there is no balance, voting becomes pointless. The lack of voters tells us that voters realize how politics works in Texas.Exhausted. That is the word I would use to describe how I feel about the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine vs. FDA court case, which is now in the hands of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. A court case that keeps getting delayed.

Texas must do better. As Texans we need to stay true to our Texas values and fight for a woman’s personal freedom. I call on the readers ofto please register friends and family to vote in preparation for the 2024 Texas Senate race. Have conversations about the issue, so they know the facts. Then vote pro-choice.
