Readers dislike the story about Kamala Harris’ accuracy; praise the work done by U.S. Rep. Crockett; advise the McKinny mayor to listen to residents; and advise everyone to work hard on getting along.
Re: “What a Different Election We Face — Parties avoid rematch and can focus on candidates’ policies and character,” Tuesday editorial.You’ve got to be kidding. In her quest for the presidency, Kamala Harris will present something different than Joe Biden? Harris has supported all of Biden’s disastrous policies since Day One andRe: “Rep. Crockett, This Didn’t Age Well — Texas congresswoman must withdraw petty bill that would remove Trump’s Secret Service protection,” Monday editorial.
Her responses to attacks are a defense of her principles. Her legislative efforts have improved health care, enhanced education and supported small businesses. Her advocacy for justice and equality is clear. Let us focus on the positive impact Crockett has on her district.Re: “Airport growth coming, says McKinney mayor — New law makes available up to $20 million in federal funding,” by George Fuller, Wednesday Opinion.
Fast forward to this opinion piece by the same mayor who has latched on to a federal program, the FAA Reauthorization Act. He wants to access up to $20 million to use for airport expansion. He talks of funding future projects and says it’s for the many Fortune 500 companies in this region, but then leaves open the door for commercial passenger service that the voters of McKinney had just voted down a few months ago.
