A letter writer with “disabled veteran” plates was surprised when he was ticketed for parking in an accessible parking space.I’ve lived a long and satisfying life. I feel lucky to have lived it in the United States. I learned to respect the ideals our nation is based on — truth, liberty, honor, ethics. We’ve never fully reached these lofty goals, but I believe as long as the majority is working for them, one day we will.
Are we all doing this? Let’s examine what our leaders and our media are doing and what they stand for.If they’ve advocated and/or helped take away rights from citizens, broken promises and stolen money we’ve invested all our employed lives in government programs for our retirement, health care and futures — or if they promise to — or if they’ve shown disrespect for any citizens individually or collectively, they must go now.
