Brandon Bell, Staff / Getty ImagesOur state GOP leaders have expressed their anger that former President Donald J. Trump has been indicted. Grand jury hearings take place all over this country. It is part of the legal process. So, the question each of us should ask is: Are we a country where the law applies to everyone, or is there an exception for former presidents?
If Republicans are going to get angry and as Gov. Greg Abbott and others shout their new word “weaponization” on every event related to Trump, then their attack on voter rights and abortion is a weaponization of their offices. Is it too late to comment on daylight “saving” time? I have no doubt this would have been ditched years ago if it was truthfully named. There is no saving. Daylight is just switched from morning to evening. Daylight switching time would be better. Best would be “early up time” , and “sleep in time” .
