Letter: 'Three times under the last administration, the debt limit was raised. Why not this time? What’s the plan?'

Three times under the last administration, the debt limit was raised. Why not this time? What’s the plan?

How much do you want to cut before allowing the country to borrow money to pay for programs you approved? What’s the plan? I served on active duty for 26 years and today I’m 100% disabled. Are you going to cut or eliminate my VA disability payments? Maybe eliminate the VA’s medical system? How about my military retirement? Have you decided the promises you made to vets, like myself, weren’t really promises? What’s the plan?

Is Social Security going away? With the aging of America, has Medicare become too expensive and you are going to eliminate or reduce its budget? Is the world such a safe place that you want to cut DoD’s budget? Are backroom deals, like the many made to elect your speaker of the House, really the “Utah Way”? This voter learned long ago not to listen to what you say but watch very closely what you do.
