To the delight no doubt of millions, two giant pandas are set to wing their way from China to Washington’s National Zoo,The three-year-old pair, named Bao Li and Qing Bao, left the panda research facility in southwest China Monday, to catch their charted FedEx cargo jet — the “Panda Express. “We have prepared corn buns, bamboo shoots, carrots, water, and medicine to ensure the pandas’ needs are met during the flight,” the China Wildlife Conservation Association said in aUnder an agreement with China, the Smithsonian’s National Zoo returned the prior pair and their cub last November, leaving legions of teary-eyed panda fans, many of whom bid them farewell in their last weeks in the nation’s Capital.
