Former Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi is now the new MEC for Finance and e-Government following David Makhura's cabinet announcement.

Dube says Panyaza Lesufi should have remained in the education portfolio.

JOHANNESBURG - Panyaza Lesufi should have remained in the education portfolio, that is according to political analyst, Xolani Dube. Dube made the comments after Gauteng Premier, David Makhura announced his new provincial cabinet on Wednesday. "He's a man who likes to get in our face. Panyanza understood that to ascend to the highest echelons of politics you need to deal with the sensitive issues of society...you must always be at the front of society so that your name will always be there," Dube said.

"Him being pushed into a corner and being concealed there out of the limelight...is really kind of an upward demotion."Dube also said ethics and morality aren't relevant when the ANC chooses candidates for leadership positions.Mazibuko will head the Community Safety portfolio.
