Cingolani confirmed that discussions between Leonardo and Baykar have been ongoing for several months, and a recent visit to Baykar's facility in Istanbul further solidified their interest in exploring collaborations. He emphasized that Leonardo's expertise in payload systems, including electronic and sensor systems, could seamlessly integrate with Baykar's world-class unmanned platforms. 'Integrating Leonardo's experience in UAVs with Baykar's world-class unmanned platforms can really give a significant boost,' Cingolani stated. Both companies are particularly interested in developing new market areas, especially in Europe, and exploring the integration of future UAV designs with sixth-generation fighter jets. Cingolani acknowledged that the process of potential collaboration involves several crucial steps: thorough technological analysis to ensure compatibility, market analysis to assess marketability, and the final phase of industrial production.
