MANILA, Philippines — Presidential aspirant Leody De Guzman “respects” the decision of progressive coalitionto endorse Vice President Leni Robredo and Sen. Francis Pangilinan for the upcoming elections. “I respect the dynamism and decision of Makabayan,” De Guzman, who chairs the Buluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino, said in a statement in Filipino.“Whatever is the outcome and practical considerations of their endorsement in other candidates, I would still pledge my support to Neri Colmenares and Bong Labog for their senatorial bid,” he added.
On Friday, senatorial aspirant Neri Colmenares, who chairs Bayan Muna, confirmed that the Makabayan Coalition had decided to endorse Robredo and Pangilinan.
