Lenovo has announced a refreshed version of the Legion Y700 gaming laptop, featuring a matte display and improved touch friction. The internal components remain the same as last year's model.
Legion Y700 second-generation was launched back in July 2023. Now the company has announced that they are working on a refreshed Legion Y700 “Super Control Edition” .This new iteration will only have a refreshed look and feel with a matte display , while all the internal components will stay the same as last year’s offering. It is noted as a “replaced screen version”. It equips the industry’s first micro-nano etched AG glass in the front.
Lenovo claims that the touch friction of the glass is reduced by a whopping 50%, which if true, would result in a significantly improved user experience. Just as last year, you will get an 8.8-inch pretty high-resolution 2560X1600 panel underneath the new matte glass. It means a pixel density of 343 PPI.
A Weibo user commented that a new successor with a refreshed chip and other internals will not be available until the second-half of this year. Lenovo officially confirmed this saying the third-generation Y700 “will not be available for at least the next two months.”chipset. There are two memory and storage configurations available – 12GB + 256GB and 16GN + 512GB. You get a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup on the back and an 8MP selfie on the front.
