Lenggong PKR branch chief Id Azalan Shah Banyamin said the decision was made after they realised that president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had failed to unite party members from all levels.

"We have lost confidence after Anwar sacked Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and Zuraida Kamarudin from the party. "The main agenda of Pakatan Harapan after taking over from Barisan Nasional was to rebuild the nation. But, Anwar soon lost focus as he was so preoccupied on becoming the eighth prime minister," he said at a press conference here, today.

Azalan added that various untoward incidents had tarnished the party's credibility, including the attack on vice-president Tian Chua by hundreds of PKR supporters at the party’s headquarters in Petaling Jaya on Sunday. At the press conference, about 260 PKR members took off their PKR uniforms to express their dissatisfaction with the party leadership.
