The city of Lemon Grove is accepting applications from residents and local business owners to serve on a committee that will oversee the spending of funds from a newly implemented sales tax. Measure T, which passed in November with 72% voter approval, increases the city’s sales tax from 7.75% to 8.75% for 10 years, generating an estimated $5.96 million annually. This revenue can be used to support various city needs, including parks, community facilities, fire protection, police and emergency services, homelessness initiatives, infrastructure, and more.
