BERLIN: RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol wants to join treble-winning Manchester City and has informed the club of his desire to leave, Leipzig sports director Max Eberl said today.

“Josko and his advisers have submitted the wish to us for a transfer to Manchester City,” Eberl told Leipziger Volkszeitung newspaper.Gvardiol would be the latest big name to leave the Leipzig club with the back-to-back German Cup winners having already seen Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai move to Liverpool on Sunday.
