A lingering cougar in Lehi has the community on edge for a third night.
Residents of Lehi have been advised to use caution when outside as wildlife officials attempt to locate a mountain lion that was seen in the area. On Monday, a porch camera captured what officials from the Division of Wildlife Resources believe is likely a young mountain lion searching for a new territory.PREVIOUS:In response, the Lehi Police Department has increased patrols in an effort to locate the animal. Meanwhile, residents nearby are growing more concerned.
“It’s scary. I don’t love the idea of a cougar being here,” she said after discovering footage of the cougar outside her business. Over two nights so far, cameras in the community have captured the cougar on the move. One video shows the cat early Monday morning on Woods Drive, with Parry’s footage surfacing almost 24 hours later, about a mile away.
