The LEGO Movie director and Spider-Verse producer Phil Lord has responded to an incredible LEGO recreation of the Across the Spider-Verse trailer.

One of The LEGO Movie directors and producers for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has responded to a perfect recreation of the Marvel movie's second trailer using LEGO bricks. Resembling the animation and realistic style of the LEGO Movie franchise and its spin-offs, this fan-made trailer imagines what the upcoming movie would look like if it was made using one of the world's most popular toy lines.

Reposted on Twitter from creator LegoMe_TheOG, The Lego Movie's Phil Lord commented on their incredible recreation of the second trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Not only did Phil Lord write and direct The Lego Movie with his longtime collaborator Chris Miller, but they're also the writers and producers for both Spider-Verse films. As such, Lord's appreciation for the fan-made LEGO trailer is very fun to see.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Lord's wish for the entire movie to have been made in LEGO is very funny, especially considering the rumors that Miles Morales will be visiting a LEGO reality in the Spider-Verse.What Happened To The LEGO Movie Franchise? Putting the Spider-Verse aside, it's very strange that the popular LEGO Movie franchise has stalled out despite the success of the first two films and its spin-offs .

The prospect of Across the Spider-Verse briefly becoming a LEGO movie is still quite exciting. It would certainly be a great way to give a fun nod to Lord and Miller's past work. Furthermore, LEGO bricks are a clever medium to depict a new reality in the vast Spider-Verse, bringing to mind to multiverse-jumping sequence in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness where Strange and America Chavez briefly became various colors of paint.

At any rate, the commitment and hard work done by LegoMe_TheOG has clearly paid off considering all the views their video has received, not to mention a response from Phil Lord himself. While there may not be a LEGO Movie in the works presently, epic fan trailers like this certainly help fill the void in the interim. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be swinging into theaters on June 2nd.
