Legendary Glasgow pub The Griffin reopening soon two years after last pint was poured 🍻
A legendary Glasgow pub is set to reopen soon, over two years since a pint was last poured at the bar.The iconic city centre boozer, which has been serving drinks since 1903 at the corner of Elmbank Street and Bank Street, ceased trading in March 2020 as coronavirus hit.After being put on the market earlier this year, pub bosses said they had been 'inundated with locals looking to take over the reins and excited to get the venue back up and running as soon as possible'.
And The Isle Of Skye Brewing Company are the saviours, announcing recently 'We’ve only gone and got a pub!'."Full range of cask, draught & bottled Skye Brewing Co beer available in Glasgow city centre soon." They've since taken to social media to tease further details about The Griffin's return, telling Glaswegians at the end of last week: "Big day for us today - our first delivery in over two years.Punters are delighted The Griffin is being brought back to life, with one local saying: "Can’t wait to get back to The Griffin, missed this crackin’ wee pub, especially when going to the Theatre. Good Luck when you re-open guys.
