[ANALYSIS] Legal expert: Parliamentary panel findings into Phala Phala flawed
It's been a tough week politically in the country, especially for President Cyril Ramaphosa. This of course follows the findings of the independent panel into the Phala Phala farm theft. Many have called for the president to resign, and the ANC's National Executive Committee is expected to reconvene to discuss the issue tomorrow. But what legal options does Ramaphosa have? We speak to legal expert, Elton Hart.
JOHANNESBURG - The Parliamentary panel's findings into President Cyril Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm theft are flawed.He says the panel had no witnesses and based its findings on hearsay, something that wouldn't stand in a court of law."The president does have a right to take any report that's making adverse findings against him on review," he said.
