Graham Parker, from Sheffield, says he plans to climb Ben Nevis following 'life-changing' surgery.
Graham Parker underwent 30 operations on his legs after he was crushed between two cars
Faced with a choice between amputation or surgery he underwent 30 operations over 12 years but was left with limited movement and a permanently bowed leg. "It was dark, the car lights weren't working and a car crashed into the back of me, crushing me between two bumpers and snapping both my legs," he said.
The successful treatment meant for the first time in more than three decades he was able to stand on two straight legs.
