The Leeds United forward had a turbulent summer after being the subject of transfer interest and refusing to play before being reintegrated into the Whites set-up
Leeds United forward Wilfried Gnonto insists he focused on improving and growing as a player 'every day' as he discussed his next career goals after a turbulent summer. The teenager was the subject of near-constant transfer speculation this summer, with Everton heavily linked with the forward.
Gnonto retained his place in the Italy squad during the recent international break, appearing against North Macedonia and Ukraine, despite plying his trade in the English second tier and in an interview with Italian outlet Sport Mediaset has spoken about achieving his national team dream and what his next targets are.“Dreams? Making my debut with the national team was the biggest one, the dream of all children who start playing, and I was lucky enough to realise it very early,” he said.
"I have many strengths, but many more flaws. I know I also have a lot of time to grow, and I try to do it every day.” Get Leeds United news to your phone with our WhatsApp community Want the inside track on transfers?
