Cost of Football special report as we examine how much it costs to follow your side in the Championship this season
Supporting a football club is more expensive than ever before in England, an exclusive Reach investigation has found - and now you can see just how much each club charges its fans.
The average cost for the cheapest adult season ticket at each Premier League and EFL club is now £399.88. That’s the highest on record. The average is also at record high levels for each division - £535.13 in the Premier League, £377.04 in the Championship, £368.34 in League One, and £341.56 in League Two.
Leeds United charge more for their cheapest adult match tickets than any other club in the division - £34.00. Middlesbrough charge the next most followed by Millwall and Swansea . Leicester City have the most expensive match tickets in the division at £88.00. Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday charge £59.00 for their top-priced tickets, Southampton charge £50.00 for theirs, and Leeds £47.00.
Sheffield Wednesday have the most expensive starting point for “Cat A” matches, with tickets starting at £45.00 each. That’s followed by Leeds at £41.00 and Norwich at £40.00. The cheapest “Cat A” tickets can be found at Cardiff , while four clubs charge £25.00 - Huddersfield Town, Plymouth Argyle, Rotherham United, and Southampton. Rotherham and Huddersfield don’t change their prices based on match category.
