Whites fans have implored Rodrigo to extend his stay at the club despite their drop into the second tier after he offered an apology for their awful 2022/23 season.
Rodrigo extended an olive branch to the Elland Road faithful after their fate was sealed, writing on Instagram on Monday: “I can’t find the words to describe yesterday’s feeling. I just can say SORRY to all Leeds fans. For sure you deserve much better from us.” Instagram Fans responded positively to the Spanish international’s post on the whole. Frazer Starkey replied: “Best player this season.. if everyone had your passion then maybe it could [have] been different.
Kate wrote: “Aww Rodders we all love you, you fight for us every game, [you’re] passionate and are proud to [wear] the shirt. We would love you to stay and get us back up next season. MOT”
