Acid FC designer Ed Cowburn has revealed a quirky detail in the Leeds United away kit that may have gone amiss to most Whites' supporters.
At the time of release, the club said: "The new away kit proudly celebrates the club's storied past while embracing a fresh, modern look, featuring a striking colour palette of navy, blue and mint. The away shirt and shorts feature a woven club crest and the away socks contain a custom-designed Leeds print, for the first time under adidas, this kit is uniquely Leeds United."
Cowburn has revealed the peacock pattern has 1,919 dots on the shirt in reference to the year Leeds United were founded. The club was founded on October 17, 1919 replacing Leeds City, under the management of former player Dick Ray and playing in the Midland League in the place vacated by Leeds City's reserve side.
