The Rhinos are back training 45 days after their 2023 season ended.
Rohan Smith's Leeds Rhinos team kicked off their pre-season for the 2024 season, with the majority of the squad in attendance at training today.
Among the first Super League teams to return for pre-season preparations, Leeds shared a photo on social media showcasing the team in their fresh training attire as they hit the paddock. Hull FC have also started pre-season today The likes of James Bentley, David Fusitua, Morgan Gannon, Ash Handley, Sam Lisone, Justin Sangare, Jack Sinfield and Cameron Smith all reported to training this morning, as members of last season’s squad who are still with the club were back on day dot.
As reported by The Yorkshire Post, players absent from day 1 were Harry Newman and Rhyse Martin , who have both been on international duty with their respective nations. Big-name signings from Salford Red Devils Brodie Croft and Andy Ackers are due to meet up with their new squad next week. Fresh faces Lachie Miller, Matt Frawley and Mickael Goudemand could be training within the next fortnight, though that could change. Australian centre Paul Momirovski will not arrive until the new year, which rules him out of the boxing day clash with Wakefield Trinity.
